Baking and Cake Decorating Classes

CAKE BAKING CLASSES

Designed for participants 16 and older.
4-hour baking class.This is a hands-on workshop and each participant will be actively involved in weighing and measuring ingredients for making an 8 inch cake from scratch. 
You will leave the class with a lot more confidence than you came with, an 8 inch round cake to share with families and friends and a recipe to bake some more when you get home.
* Fee includes use of equipment and ingredients during sessions.
** This class is focused on cake baking only.
Dates - Aug 1 or Aug 19 or AUG 26
Time - 10:00 am - 2:00 pm

2013 Canada Day Celebrations - Canadian Flag Cupcakes

Essence Cakes was commissioned to make this year's cupcakes for the Brampton Canada Day celebrations.
Cupcakes, in the shape of the Canadian flag, were set up and displayed at the Chinguacousy Park.
All 2000 cupcakes were devoured. Happy Birthday, Canada!!!

KIDS SUMMER CAKE DECORATING CAMP

3-day cake decorating camp, specially designed for kids age 7-12.

Schedule: JULY 8-10, 2013
Sessions: Morning 10:00 am - 12:30 pm OR Afternoon 2:00 - 4:30 pm

Activities:

• Day 1 - Cookie Decorating
• Day 2 - Cupcake Decorating
• Day 3 - Cake Decorating 

Fee includes all materials and tools (in-class use only).
Each day, kids take home their edible creation.
**Each child to attend with a bagged lunch and an apron

Catching up

It's been more than a month since I updated this page. Where did the time go? I know, we have been very busy caking!
We have been busy with confirmation/communion cakes, first birthday cakes, and most recently, the 10th anniversary cake of the Brampton Fire/Life Safety Education Centre in Brampton. It was such an honour for Essence Cakes to have been chosen to make the cake. We got very positive reviews and even got a visit from two personnel from the centre to say 'thank  you". More about this order in an upcoming post.
