Cupcake Deal on Groupon on Bites Baker

There was an article in the Toronto Star today about a  baker in London who got  more than she bargained for when she offered cupcake deals through Groupon. I guess the goal was to drum up business but it backfired and ended costing her $20,000.  Ouch! Read all about it here:

VW Beetle Car Cake

This cake was carved out of a chocolate cake. Making it was a little more challenging than I had anticipated. It took a while to get all the curves right. Glad at the outcome after all the hours spent on bringing the cake to life.

Cupcakes with edible autumn leaves

The cupcakes were red velvet and were frosted with cream cheese. The edible autumn leaves were made out of rolled fondant that was coloured with food gel.

This cake was made to celebrate the first birthday of a little guy. All animals are hand-modelled and edible.

 

70th Birthday Cake

A small cake to celebrate a wondeful mother's 70th birthday. Happy birthday, Mum!

Sweet 16th Birthday Cake

A 2-tier marble cake filled with buttercream for a 16th birthday.

The client was very happy and we received a picture of the celebrant cutting the cake.
